The purpose of establishing different classes is not only to further the mental and physical health of the detainee, but also cultivate their writing abilities and special skills. Lists below are the classes set in Taipei Detention Center:

• The Study Group:  In order to encourage the inmates in the center to build up the correct values and promote the self-discipline by reading, both of Ms. Lin (a volunteer teacher) and Ministry of Justice set up the Study Group. At the same time, the Study Group benefit the inmates from discussing in teams and sharing with other people.

• Calligraphy Class:  Taiwan After-care Association, the branch of Banciao and the public jointly give help to set up the Calligraphy Class for enhancing and glorifying the Chinese culture and cultivating the qualities of literature and art.
